Ileana Tapanes is a Vice President with Kaufman Hall’s Strategy and Business Transformation practice, with a focus on performance improvement optimization. Her responsibilities include managing and leading various healthcare engagements, assessment analysis and implementation of operational improvement initiatives, and evaluation and preparation of partnership efficiency opportunities for hospitals and health systems nationwide.
Ms. Tapanes has more than 10 years of healthcare experience including cross-functional and departmental project management, identification and application of key performance indicators and financial targets, and strategic partnership assessments. Ms. Tapanes partners with hospital and health system executives across the nation to improve their organizations’ overall financial performance.
Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, she worked as a Consultant within the Revenue Cycle healthcare practice at Navigant Consulting. Earlier in her career, she served as an Associate Underwriter within ProAssurance’s Healthcare Professional Liability Insurance Division.
Ms. Tapanes holds a B.S. in Finance with a specialization in Healthcare Management from the University of Alabama. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Ms. Tapanes is currently serving as President of Marillac St. Vincent Family Services Associate Board in Chicago.
