Michelle Pugh is a Senior Vice President with Kaufman Hall’s Merger Integration practice. Michelle partners with Healthcare’s Senior Executives to solve their most pressing business issues and realize their value targets and optimization goals. Her experience spans the following: improving operating margin and lowering cost, designing a scalable organization able to achieve required performance levels and/or support a growth agenda, enabling optimized service delivery, building a capable and engaged workforce, and reducing risk.

Michelle has spent most of her career working across the Pharmaceutical, Payer, and Healthcare Provider integrated network, dedicating the last decade to increasing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of mid-market to large Healthcare Systems through the design and implementation of Corporate & Shared Services and Workforce Planning solutions.

Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Michelle worked at KPMG as a Principal in Human Capital Advisory. In this role, she implemented transformational business initiatives, advised Executives on workforce transformation and management solutions, and managed labor costs. 

Michelle holds a M.A. in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Psychology from Minnesota State University.
