Brian K. Pisarsky is a Managing Director in Kaufman Hall’s Performance Improvement practice. He advises healthcare executives nationwide on major cost reduction, length of stay, and patient throughput initiatives, including building efficiencies, reducing waste, eliminating redundancies, and ensuring accurate portrayal of entry status assignment.

Mr. Pisarsky has more than 30 years of healthcare experience spanning clinical care, operational and financial management, denial prevention and management, and performance improvement consulting. His areas of expertise include case management, denial prevention, operational assessments, and patient throughput.

Mr. Pisarsky has assisted a variety of healthcare organizations on performance improvement initiatives as a Director with Huron Consulting and KPMG, and as an Associate Director at Berkeley Research Group. Mr. Pisarsky also has held numerous case management staff and leadership positions. His previous roles include Corporate Director of Case Management and Infection Prevention at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Director of Case Management and the Portage Physician Hospital Organization at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio, Nurse Consultant for UnitedHealthcare, and Emergency Room Nurse at Salem Regional Medical Center.  

Mr. Pisarsky is an Accredited Case Management Registered Nurse, certified by the American Case Management Association. He holds an M.H.A. from the University of Saint Francis in Joliet, Ill., and a B.S. in Allied Health from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.
