Bart is Managing Director and a member of the firm’s Clinical Documentation Improvement Practice. He specializes in Revenue and Operations Improvement (ROI), including non-labor cost reduction, labor productivity, service line reconfiguration, physician practice management and clinical variation reduction. He helps clients identify and implement cost reduction strategies. Bart has assisted several clients with the strategy, design, and implementation of cost reduction solutions.

Bart has worked with clients across the country to improve their performance. Some of Bart’s more recent experience includes working with an urban hospital to achieve over $20 million in cost reduction across labor and non-labor categories. He has also worked with a four-hospital system in the Midwest to assist with a pharmacy utilization management project that included working closely with clinicians to enable more effective decisions and improved patient outcomes while lowering costs. Bart has also assisted a two-hospital system in the Northeast with a multi-year engagement focused on addressing the system’s budget deficit issue.

Bart earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified professional in healthcare finance through HFMA.
