As managing director, consulting operations leader at the consulting and advisory firm Kaufman Hall, a Vizient company, Dan Majka leads the firm’s consulting operations, overseeing a team of approximately 40 professionals across sales operations, project management, knowledge management and business intelligence. In this role, he drives operational alignment, performance enablement and enterprise effectiveness to support the firm’s client delivery and strategic growth objectives.
On the client side, Dan advises healthcare organizations nationwide — including regional health systems, academic medical centers and community hospitals — on integrated strategic and financial planning, enterprise performance management and capital allocation. He helps clients align long-term strategy with financial capacity, prioritize capital investments and implement disciplined planning processes that enhance financial sustainability and organizational resilience — delivering analytical rigor, structured decision support and measurable impact.
With more than 25 years of experience at Kaufman Hall, Dan is a respected advisor in financial planning and data analytics. He has guided organizations in developing enterprise planning frameworks, strengthening capital allocation governance and supporting M&A-associated financial strategies. He was actively involved in development efforts related to the Syntellis Performance Solutions (formerly Kaufman Hall Axiom Software, now part of Strata Decision Technology) suite of software products, advancing tools that support integrated planning and performance management.
Dan has been with Kaufman Hall since 1998. He holds a master of business administration and a master of health administration from The Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor of arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
