Tracey Szewczyk, MBA, BSN, RN, CEN

Tracey Szewczyk, MBA, BSN, RN, CEN, is a Vice President in Kaufman Hall’s Clinical Solutions practice, advising healthcare executives nationwide on organizational performance, operational efficiency and enterprise capacity. Her work focuses on high-impact portals of entry, including emergency department optimization and systemwide patient-flow performance.

Tracey brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience spanning frontline clinical care, operational and financial management, executive leadership and performance-improvement consulting. She offers deep expertise in emergency department operations and workforce optimization, informed by continued clinical practice as an emergency department registered nurse at a high-volume acute-care community hospital.

Her leadership experience spans the United States Air Force and complex acute-care health systems. Prior to going into consulting, Tracey served as Emergency Services/Trauma Director and Administrative Director of Obstetrics Services, providing leadership across multiple acute-care service lines and high-acuity clinical operations.

Tracey holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS in nursing from York College of Pennsylvania. She also completed Cornell University’s Executive Healthcare Leadership Certificate Program and holds credentials as a Certified Emergency Nurse and Certified Lean Healthcare Professional, reflecting expertise across clinical practice, executive leadership and operational improvement.
