Scott Christensen is a Senior Vice President at Kaufman Hall and a member of the firm’s Strategy practice. He works with healthcare leaders across the country on a broad range of integrated strategy and financial planning opportunities, with an emphasis on growth, industry reorganization, and value-based care.

Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Mr. Christensen served as an Engagement Director for Empiric Health, a startup focused on improving outcomes and lowering the cost of surgical procedures. His responsibilities included leading complex engagements with health system clients, and collaborating with data scientists, clinicians, and consultants to build the firm’s go-to-market approach and product offerings. Prior to Empiric Health, Mr. Christensen was a Director of Operations Innovation and Strategy for DaVita, where he focused on enabling success in a capitated payment system and solving problems related to the transformation of kidney care in the United States. Earlier in his career at Huron Consulting Group, he helped hospitals and health systems improve clinical operations, prepare for the transition to value-based care, and implement new technology solutions.

Mr. Christensen received his M.B.A., with honors, from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
