Patrick is a Managing Director in Kaufman Hall’s Performance Improvement practice. He has extensive experience working with large academic medical centers, large children’s hospitals, health systems, and community hospitals to significantly improve their operational and financial performance. Several clients he works with are listed on the annual U.S. News & World Report Top Hospital Rankings.

Patrick’s primary focus is working with clients to create, enhance, or expand their clinical documentation improvement (CDI) programs across the care continuum including inpatient, all outpatient facility encounters and professional fee claims. He has helped clients with redesigning their CDI process, building, and implementing CDI physician advisor programs, understanding complex data models and outcomes, formulating strategic initiatives to improve financial performance and key quality measures, and facilitating change management across organizations. He has also provided consulting on various other revenue cycle projects.

Patrick holds a B.S. in Business/Finance from Indiana University.
