Olive O'Rourke, RN

Olive O'Rourke joins Kaufman Hall's Clinical and Operations Improvement (COI) Practice as Practice Leader. Most recently, she was a Principal in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice, where she led the Margin Improvement and Clinical Business service areas. In this role, she helped providers and payers build the capabilities needed to succeed in an evolving payment and care delivery environment.

Olive brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience spanning the full care continuum, including integrated delivery systems, academic health systems, community hospitals and health plans. Throughout her career, Olive has led care model redesigns, clinical and operational performance improvement initiatives, cost reduction programs, hospital-physician alignment efforts and merger and integration advisory services. She is passionate about advancing excellence in healthcare delivery from both clinical and shared services perspectives and helping clients achieve sustainable success.

Originally from Ireland, Olive earned her diploma in nursing in Dublin and holds degrees from the University of California, San Francisco and the University of Bedfordshire.
