Her career began as a registered nurse, where she honed her skills before transitioning to roles focused on business operations and process improvement.
Amanda's areas of expertise and professional skills include process reengineering, quality and safety management, throughput improvement and designing innovative operation models. She holds the distinction of being the first nurse innovator in Michigan, showcasing her ability to think outside the box and bring fresh perspectives to healthcare challenges.
Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Amanda made significant strides, being the first process improvement administrative fellow and operational improvement black belt at Corewell Health. In this role, she led numerous process restructuring and redesign initiatives. Her leadership extended across various departments, including nursing units, bed operations, emergency services, pharmacy, imaging, environmental and transport services, physical therapy, quality and safety, case management, supply chain and infection prevention.
Amanda's educational background includes a master's degree in nursing with a focus on Innovation in Intra/Entrepreneurship in Nursing Advance Practice and a Postmaster Certificate in Leadership in Health Systems Management from Drexel University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Oakland University. Additionally, Amanda is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, highlighting her expertise in process improvement methodologies. Her commitment to professional growth is evident through her membership in the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Nurses Association and the American Health Quality Association.
