Vandalia Health has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Plateau Medical Center from CHS

CHICAGO – January 12, 2023, Vandalia Health (“Vandalia”) entered into a definitive agreement for Vandalia to acquire Plateau Medical Center (“Plateau”) located in Oak Hill, WV from Community Health Systems, Inc. (“CHS”) (NYSE: CYH). The transaction is expected to close at the end of March 2023, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Charleston Area Medical Center (Charleston, WV) and Mon Health (Morgantown, WV) officially closed a transaction in August 2022 to became one integrated delivery system called Vandalia Health.

Greenbrier Valley Medical Center (Ronceverte, WV) officially joined Vandalia Health (Charleston, WV), effective date January 1^st, 2023.

Kaufman Hall served as the exclusive transaction advisor to Vandalia Health throughout the sale process.
