SKOKIE, Ill. – August 21, 2018 – Kaufman Hall, a leading provider of management consulting services, enterprise performance management and decision support software, announced today that Gartner, Inc., has placed Kaufman Hall (Axiom Software) in the Challengers quadrant of its “Magic Quadrant for Cloud Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Solutions.”
According to Kaufman Hall, the positioning of the company, which was previously listed as a Niche Player in the 2017 version of the report, recognizes the growth of its ability to execute in delivering the insights financial and C-suite executives require to succeed in a volatile marketplace. The company also was evaluated for completeness of vision.
“We are gratified that Gartner has recognized Kaufman Hall’s (Axiom Software) growth and maturity over the last year with its position in the Challengers quadrant of the Magic Quadrant,” said Wes Champion, managing director and CEO at Kaufman Hall. “To us, it is an affirmation not only of our commitment to the healthcare, financial services and higher education sectors, but also our demonstrated capabilities for solving complex business problems for large and midsize organizations.”
Kaufman Hall's Axiom Software Suite empowers financial professionals to analyze results, model the future, and optimize organizational decision making. The cloud-based suite includes a variety of solutions, including budgeting and forecasting, long-range planning, capital planning and management, performance reporting, and decision support and analytics.
“Industry disruption and transformation is placing demands on FP&A to expand beyond traditional financial planning methods,” said James Bodan, executive vice president, Kaufman Hall Software. “Responding to these challenges requires more collaborative, agile financial planning processes and performance management processes reporting, so that feedback is received, analyzed and acted upon sooner. The adoption of integrated planning applications, such as the Axiom Software Suite, will help organizations take advantage of current opportunities and navigate tumultuous industry changes for long-term, sustainable success.”
Based on nearly three decades of experience helping corporate leaders solve their greatest challenges, the Axiom Software Suite addresses a wide range of strategic and financial concerns to ensure long-term success, and improve financial and clinical outcomes for their organizations.
Kaufman Hall’s Axiom Software was designed from day one to be a scalable, enterprise-ready cloud financial planning and analysis system for blue chip clients in any industry. A significant portion of Axiom’s success can be attributed to this best-in-class platform approach, but also the deliberate way in which the value of the platform is delivered – via industry-specific products that blend the power of the platform with the business logic and rules required within each industry.
According to Gartner, it identified three types of cloud service vendor that met the inclusion criteria for this Magic Quadrant:
- Cloud-only vendors with cloud solutions that have been architected wholly or largely from the outset as cloud services
- Traditional on-premises vendors with new “built for the cloud” solutions
- Traditional on-premises vendors that have made their solutions available as a cloud service
To be eligible for inclusion in this Magic Quadrant, vendors also had to demonstrate the following product capabilities: support at least two components of FP&A; deploy an FP&A solution as a cloud service (the solution cannot be deployed on-premises or as a managed cloud service); actively market and sell this cloud solution to small, midsize and/or large and/or global organizations; and actively market, sell and deploy this cloud solution on a stand-alone basis, regardless of any additional bundling with broader ERP suites or other applications. Kaufman Hall believes that its Axiom Software Suite meets all four criteria.
