Is cost accounting your friend? Harvard professors Michael Porter and Thomas Lee, M.D., say it should be if your goal is to understand costs and ultimately improve the value of care.

But many hospitals and health systems struggle to clearly understand costs, which makes it difficult to make effective, fact-based financial and planning decisions.

In this on-demand webinar, you’ll see how MultiCare Health System adopted cost accounting best practices and consolidated multiple legacy platforms into a single data stream to dramatically improve visibility into financial data. You’ll learn:

  • Cost accounting tips proven to make it easier to accurately determine unit cost
  • How to apply costs at the patient encounter level to enable effective and actionable reporting
  • Benefits of analytics and reporting drawn from a single source
