Cynthia Peters Arnold is a Senior Vice President for Kaufman Hall and a member of the firm’s Physician Advisory Practice, working across the Performance Improvement and the Strategic and Financial Planning Practices. She has more than 30 years of senior management and consulting experience transforming health systems, physician practices, and payers.
Her areas of expertise include health system physician network configuration and referrals management; comprehensive operational assessment, process improvement and management; physician compensation and incentives design; transformational population redesign initiatives; and deep experience working with clients in implementing solutions.
Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Ms. Arnold held leadership roles at multiple national consulting firms including Navigant Consulting. In that role, she led provider-payer partnership initiatives, successful ACO/CIN designs, and maximized approaches to pay-for-performance opportunities, in addition to working with physician practices. Ms. Arnold also has held health system roles leading physician operations with Ascension Healthcare, Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Group, Lehigh Valley Physician Group, and Manhattan’s Physician Group (Acting).
Ms. Arnold has spoken at industry conferences—including the Medical Group Management Association and the American Medical Group Association—on topics such as health information exchange, organizational change, physician relations, patient communications, and operations improvement.
Ms. Arnold holds an M.B.A. in Health Administration from Temple University and a B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University. She is board-certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a Certified PCMH Expert by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Additionally, she is Lean Healthcare Certified by the College of Integrative Systems and Design at the University of Michigan.
