David Cohen is a Senior Vice President of Kaufman Hall and a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) practice. He provides services related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, investment transactions, strategic options assessments, valuations, fairness opinions, and other strategic financial advisory services, both on the sell side and on the buy side.
With more than 15 years of M&A experience in healthcare, Mr. Cohen has provided advisory services to companies in various sectors of the industry, including acute care, air medical transport, managed care, laboratory operations, pharmaceuticals, and medical technology. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, he was as an investment banker with Oppenheimer, where he was the Managing Director responsible for healthcare M&A transactions. From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Cohen was an Executive Director in the M&A Group of Morgan Stanley, where he focused on strategic advisory work for healthcare clients. His previous positions include Vice President in the M&A Group of Merrill Lynch and Vice President in the M&A Group of Lehman Brothers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cohen worked for Motorola and an intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces.
Mr. Cohen has an M.B.A. from New York University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
